From the Office
of Range Captain - THANKS!!
In an attempt to resuscitate C-range to it's former glory,
several members (and a few non-members) pitched in on two
weekends in May to rebuild targets on the most feared range in
the State. Although we still have quite a bit of work to do, we
made serious progress toward our ultimate goal of hosting a
couple of shoots on C next spring. I would like to take this
opportunity to thank those who came out and suffered through the
verticality that is C-range.
The first work party was held on May 15. Those attending
included Jimmy Brugh, Ed Clowser, Roy Forehand, Will Goodwin,
Richard Phlegar, John Scyphers, and Jason Threewitts. Ed and
Richard brought their ATV's to help haul materials which proved
to be a big help.
The second work party was held the next weekend on May 22. The
list of those who attended includes Randy Brookshier, Todd
Clayton, Alan Chad, Will Goodwin, Dewayne Martin, Tony Maxey,
Duane Means, Alex Smith, and Steve Smith. Dewayne brought the
RZR and a trailer which helped immensely. Todd Clayton, who
wasn't a member at that time, brought a big tractor and worked
over the road on the power line and did the heavy lifting to
fill the dumpster with various garbage around the club. An
outstanding group on both weekends! Thanks guys, I really
appreciate your efforts and willingness to contribute to the
future and well being of Sherwood
WORK PARTY 8/28!
There will be a
work party 8/28 with the focus being on cutting and gathering
firewood. This one is going to start at around 8am and go until
the heat gets to be too much! We need to cut as much as we can
so we have firewood for the upcoming winter months,
